Unit 8.5A: "Home Away From Home": Regional Climate

In this unit, students consider what makes up a region’s climate. Students develop and use models, conduct experiments, and analyze data to discover how Earth’s climate regions are created. They apply this understanding to make recommendations for suitable climate locations to temporarily relocate threatened animal species from their original habitats (e.g., in the event of natural or human disasters).

Unit Challenge Question: What causes regions on Earth to have different climates?
