Mi-STAR Releases Four New Career Connection Explorations related to NASA
Friday, September 16, 2022
Mi-STAR is pleased to announce the publication of four Career Connection Explorations related to NASA. Spearheaded by Michigan Tech faculty member Luke Bowman and Mi-STAR staff, and funded through a partnership with the Michigan Space Grant Consortium (MSGC), the Career Connection Explorations are designed to enhance student understanding of NGSS’s disciplinary core content related to Earth System Science and Space Science through the lens of NASA resources and related careers.
These explorations go beyond a simple profile of a STEM professional, helping students to actually work with NASA products in the way they are used in specific professions – meteorology, volcanology, geospatial analysis, and science communication.
The Career Connection Explorations (CCE) are available now for all educators on Mi-STAR’s website.
This work was partially funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), under award number 80NSSC20M0124, Michigan Space Grant Consortium (MSGC).
