Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7, 2021)

Wednesday, May 5, 2021
Mi-STAR’s leadership was contacted recently by the National Science Foundation (NSF). NSF asked for help in identifying teachers and others associated with NSF-funded Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program to contribute short videos that could be used to promote Teacher Appreciation week (May 3-7, 2021).

Mi-STAR collaborates with a Noyce program known as the Michigan Master Teacher Fellows Program (MTP), which is specifically designed to promote development of participating teachers’ leadership skills. MTP submitted three videos: two created by Noyce/Mi-STAR teachers (Darci Merillat and John Kowalski) and one created by Noyce/Mi-STAR staff (Lindsey Watch and Stephanie Tubman).

We hope that you will enjoy these videos and that you will join Mi-STAR and NSF in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week! We also want to take this opportunity to say “THANK YOU!” to all the teachers we know. The work that teachers do every day is helping to change the world for the better. We can’t thank you enough.
