Learn from the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative about the basics of place-based education and how it can enhance your Mi-STAR units. You will learn a basic sequence of elements that are core to PBE and generate ideas for how you can integrate these elements into Mi-STAR units.
Stipend of $75 for the first twenty educators to enroll. SCECHs offered.The Mi-STAR Learning Series offers virtual presentations and discussions via Zoom on topics relevant to middle school science teachers. Breakout rooms and a whole group discussion component follows each presentation to promote a sense of community and collaboration among participants.
